Group 6 v ECBC Vice Presidents

We are pleased to report that this game went ahead as planned inspite of a pressimistic weather forecast which never materialised, leading to a fine afternoon of bowls.

Group 6 were represented by teams from the following clubs: -

ECBC

Southchurch Park

Shoebury Park

Hadleigh

Whitehall

The game was evenly split with each side winning 3 rinks, however the shot score was very different with Group 6 winning by 148 - 103

The winning rink for Group 6 was Shoebury Park winning by 28 shots.

Group 6 Officers would like to express their thanks to all the clubs and players for supporting this game, it was nice to see bowlers who don't have a high profile around the group performing very well, thank you.

We hope to see the same support next year.

Park Circle v Group 6

A great afternoon at Prittlewell Bowling Club on 14th September with The Park Circle hosting bowlers and clubs from Group 6.

The weather was fantastic and Prittlewell were great hosts, laying on tea, sandwiches and cake after ten ends, which was much appreciated on a very warm afternoon.

Thank you to the Ladies and Gentlemen of Prittlewell who worked so hard to make this event a success.

It was a nice change to bowl against clubs and bowlers who we don't normally meet during the season, with the following clubs taking part: -

Belfairs       Essex County   Fairwood       Hockley          Hadleigh      Memorial Park     Prittlewell   Southchurch Park    South Benfleet & Canvey           Whitehall

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and can't wait for next year when hopefully, some more clubs can take part.

The result of the game was: -

Park Circle 2 rinks (92 shots)  - (129 shots) 4 rinks Group 6

Lastly a big thank you to those bowlers on both sides who came in at the last minute to replace absentees.

See you next year
